Address the Stress
Guest post by our favorite Chinese Medical Doctor, Frances Wocicki of Crowheart Acupuncture.
- I know I sound like a broken record….but now is the best time to build practices that help you to manage your stress response.
Life is rarely easy. We all have things that cause stress. And that will always be the case. There is no time like the present to learn how to reduce the impact that stress causes.
There is not a one-size fits all solution to managing stress, and it doesn’t have to mean becoming a monk or an Olympic athlete. It can start just with remembering to take a few conscious deep breaths every day. Try it now.
Or going for a ten minute walk a few times each day. Or turning on a favorite song and singing. Or petting your dog. The list is endless of things that can help. These things seem small, but in my opinion, they are by far the most important things you can do for your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. So, make a list of things that truly calm you, expand your heart, put a smile on your face, and commit to giving yourself that gift on a daily basis. It’s important now more than ever!
