Nurture Your Nervous System

with Yoga, Breathwork & Qigong

I am so glad you have chosen to nurture your nervous systems today! Let's explore some of the many ways we can do that.

I think this is the most important workshop I have taught to date. When we balance our nervous systems, we positively impact all the other systems in the body. We also learn to better tune into ourselves so we can stay better balanced in our day-to-day lives during these uncertain times.   ~ Tracy

What to have on hand

Don't worry if you don't have everything, but ideally you'll have the following available. I will suggest alternatives as we go.

  • A stable chair or stool with a firm seat
  • A wall, door or piece of furniture you can rest your legs against or on
  • A mat or carpeting for comfort when lying down
  • Two firm blankets
  • A bolster or couch cushion or body pillow
  • More pillows or blankets in case you need them
  • A tennis ball, nubby massage ball, lacrosse ball or pet's ball (can be small)

Nadi Shodhana

Side to side breathing opens major rivers of energy, the Ida and Pingala nadis. This has been scientifically shown to balance the body and the nervous system.

Qigong for a Quiet Mind

Qigong can help us to slow down, deeply tune into the connections between muscles, joints, balance and breath and this awakening brings us into the present moment, resetting the nervous system.

Blanket Roll Restorative Practice

In this gentle restorative you have the opportunity to release the front chest and rotator cuff, tune into breath, feel into the relationship of the physical and emotional bodies.

Nurture Your Nervous System

This two hour workshop was taught live in November 2021.

Now you can skip to the practices or study sections you're most keen for.

Enough. These few words are enough.
If not these words, this breath.
If not this breath, this sitting here.

This opening to life
we have refused
again and again
until now.

Until now.
